My art schooling began way back in 1971 when I had won, a Scholastic Magazine Scholarship to the Art Student League of New York City, and had the chance to study with the great Robert Beverly Hale. A few years later I fell in love with pastels when an aunt bought me a big set of Rembrandt soft pastels as a Christmas gift.

I went back to the Art Students League in 1980 where I studied with Gustav Rehberger, George Passantino, and Harvey Dinnerstein. In 1987, while still in school, I entered a painting in my first Pastel Society of America Annual Show where I won the “Maxwell Anderson Memorial Award for Lanscape”. In 1993, I entered my 4th PSA  Annual Show where I won my third prize, and was elected membership to the Pastel Society of America, and given a Master Pastelist title in the same year.

I have been been living in Maine since 1989, where I have been painting beautiful Maine landscapes, and still-lifes of the wonderful antiques found everywhere in Maine.

My pastel paintings are included in a dozen corporate collections, and have been showcased in books and magazines like “The Best of Pastel 2”, “American Artist Magazine”, and “Yankee Magazine”.
