In 1966 I received a B.A. degree in Studio Art from Douglass College. As an undergraduate, I was the recipient of a scholarship from the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs, and I was also chosen to take part in a graduate course which was funded by a Carnegie Grant. I received first place in the student art show, and was awarded the Senior Art Award prior to graduation. In 1973, I received a Master’s degree from Montclair State College, where I did my Master’s work in painting.
In 1973-1974, I taught an art workshop and a painting course at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck. I have also taught painting, drawing, and mixed media courses in several community adult schools and art associations.
In addition to my art work, I have written poetry which has won awards and been published in several anthologies, including New Jersey Middle Writers, the New Jersey Journal of Poetry, and the New Jersey Poetry Society anthologies. I currently live in Basking Ridge, N.J.
