In 2002, Debarry was awarded the Dianne B. Bernhard Gold Medal Award in Pastel - $1000. at the Allied Artists of America Annual Exhibition and the Gold Medal Art Spirit Foundation, Diane B Bernhard Award $500 at the Audubon Artists. NYC
She enjoys teaching, giving workshops and demos. She traveled to China in 1997 and gave demos, as a guest of the Chinese Government. Her workshops have taken her to: Texas, Martha's Vineyard, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and New Hampshire in the USA as well as Canada, Bermuda, France and Mexico.
